Lev Melikhov



Lev Melikhov is a member of the Union of Artists, a graduate of the Moscow Architectural Institute, an architect, and a famous photographer. His works have been published in major magazines and newspapers of the USSR since 1963.



Taking pictures of his friends, including famous writers, musicians, politicians, actors, directors, Lev Melikhov created a portrait of the era. His work has been exhibited all over the world from Tokyo to New York. Melikhov took part in the creation of more than 200 books and catalogs on art published in Russia, France, Italy, England, Germany, Austria and the US. His works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (Moscow); Norton Dodge (Museum of Contemporary Russian Art, New York); Treisman Gallery (New York); Zandman Gallery (Germany); Tabakman Gallery (New York) and numerous others, as well as in private collections in Germany, England, France, New Zealand, and the United States.
